Our Verisk Business Development Strategic Alliance group is thriving!  We are seeking an experienced and professional Business Development Analyst/ Licensing Specialist to monitor and build new innovative business arrangements with Data and Technology vendors in the P&C markets and to help manage these valuable relationships. You'll learn Verisk products and services and the unique data assets that power them, maximize opportunities for revenue, and help to enhance our products and services for our customers. This non-commission role benefits from broad exposure and collaboration with various internal departments, and broad exposure to the Insurance Industry at large.

Responsibilities •    Manage agreements with data and technology vendors and track results and revenue to/from Verisk as a result of these efforts •    Draft and negotiate contracts and licenses as necessary •    Work with various levels of management and departments including: Law Department, Business and Product areas, Customer Service, Sales, Finance •    Manage a consultative sales process to successfully generate leads and close opportunities involving Verisk acquisition of risk decision information, analytics, products and services focused on the underwriting and policy administration discipline within the insurance carrier environment. •    Network to identify unique proprietary data assets to add to Verisk offerings •    Assist with accurately maintaining revenue forecasts •    Maintain positive relationships and help to ensure the satisfaction of existing client vendors for the purpose of maintaining or growing their revenue base with ISO/Verisk •    Collaborate with product leaders to identify new data sources that enable implementation of new products and services that meet customer needs •    Assist in execution of team and group goals, and actively engage in a team culture of excellence •    Research market and industry trends  

Qualifications

•    College degree and/or equivalent.  •    2+ years of experience working with software/data related products and services preferably in the P&C industry.  Working with and/or selling Verisk products and services is a plus.  •    Experience in preparing and executing contracts, including drafting contract language is highly desirable.  •    Excellent communication skills including but not limited to: verbal and written communication, relationship building and interpersonal relationships, and contract negotiation skills.  •    Self-starter with strong organizational, research and analytical skills. •    Must have demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external vendors and customers and have the ability to handle difficult and complex issues. •    Must be an innovative and strategic thinker.  •    Compliance with organizational process and procedures. •    Approx. 10% travel (including overnight travel) involved. •    Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
