    Job Description

    Join us! Verisk is hiring for a Treasury Analyst to join our Finance team in Jersey City, NJ.  In this role you will work alongside our Group Treasurer as well as with other members of the finance team who are at the forefront of Verisk’s innovative and thriving business. 

    THE DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE:  

    • Reconcile cash accounts to the GL as well as investigate discrepancies 
    • Complete and track various payments including but not limited to Tax, Accounts Payable and Payroll payments
    • Maintain and update treasury system (Kyriba)
    • Manage the treasury mailbox and respond to all treasury related inquiries
    • Update and monitor cashflows 
    • Administer corporate credit card programs

    MONTHLY CLOSE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

    At the end of each month, the treasury team is heavily involved in the reconciliation and closure of financial records for the company.  During this time you will work closely with the AP, AR and GL teams to:

    • Investigate credit balances on the GL and post journal entries 
    • Prepare journal entries for posting to Peoplesoft Financial System
    • Post bank charges and I/C cash movements
    • Ensure bank reconciliations for major bank accounts are complete and investigate & resolve issues before accounts close for the month

    COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

    • Respond to internal and external audit inquiries
    • Respond to and complete KYC and AML reviews from our various banking relationships
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Strong work ethic and a desire to pursue and advance your career in Finance 
    • Microsoft Office Suite required; must have strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and Vlookup
    • Must be detail oriented and deadline driven with good time management skills
    • Experience or knowledge of managing and monitoring cash for multiple jurisdictions in a variety of currencies preferred
    • College degree in a relevant subject preferred 
    • Prior Treasury experience preferred
