POSITION OVERVIEW:

This Senior Front-End Developer position is part of an Analytics Center of Excellence providing machine learning/AI for a suite of SaaS products. The development side of the broader team works closely with a team of Data Scientists to embed cutting-edge AI into these products by building loosely-coupled, cloud-based microservices. As a front-end developer, your role is to build a front-end Angular app that makes these analytics services directly available to business users.

The successful candidate will bring engineering rigor and software development expertise to our AI dev team. Data Science and AI skills are not required for this position as we’re looking for a developer to complement our existing analytics team, however experience working with Data Scientists and/or developing software with an AI component is highly valued. You’ll be the primary front-end developer working alongside a (Python) back-end developer and an offshore development team.

Our stack is built on AWS services and provides the opportunity for you to get involved with a new app that’s just beginning to hit the market. Our small team moves fast and provides opportunities for leadership and growth but is part of a large and very stable company.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar

·         3+ years software development experience building highly scalable web applications

·         2+ years of front-end development experience with current technology (Angular preferred, React and Vue experience valued as well)

·         Experience with AWS Services (Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, etc.) highly valued

·         Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle, best practices and Agile Software Development

·         Experience with DevOps including CI/CD a plus

·         Ability to write effective test cases, unit testing

·         Ability to troubleshoot and maintain mid-level to complex applications

·         Demonstrated ability to produce technical specifications, design and documentation

·         Ability to learn and adapt new technologies

·         Design and build a scalable, reliable, secure, maintainable component-based web application

·         Write test cases to ensure good code quality

·         Provide support in architecting web applications
