Job Description

The Commercial Property Actuarial Product team is looking for ACAS or FCAS to:

·         Join our team and contribute their knowledge and experience with Property and Casualty insurance in a way that will help shape changes in the industry

·         Be part of the team that leads the innovation and updates of the Commercial Property, Commercial Earthquake, Commercial Inland Marine and Commercial Flood product offerings

·         Produce quality results in a timely manner while maintaining customer focus in all their work

·         Serve as a customer-facing product expert for Commercial Property and above-mentioned LOBs

More specifically, we expect you to:

•  Lead projects independently that target on developing enhancements and innovations to actuarial products and procedures for Commercial Property and above-mentioned LOBs
•  Collaborate closely with other ISO divisions on new products that may be actuarial or underwriting focused
•  Maintain a high level of customer engagement through product presentations, responses to customer inquiries, and presenting at industry conferences
•  Provide actuarial analyses in supporting, maintaining and enhancing existing Commercial Property actuarial products
•  Be a key contributor in the effort to develop a more modern rating infrastructure for class rated and specifically rated property risks
•  Utilize your expertise to analyze market, industry, competitor, legal, and regulatory trends and use these to provide actionable insights that drive the business of both the company and its customers 
•  Service as a role model for junior staff members
•  Contribute to some of the current initiatives including, but not limited to, Energy, Reinsurance, Flood pricing, Enhanced Wind pricing and Earthquake Model update pricing impact review
•  Interact with regulatory authorities to support filings of loss cost reviews and new/enhanced products

Qualifications

•  Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related majors. FCAS+ desired. 
• 3+ years’ experience leading team(s) and or projects, with strong records of building great internal or external customer relationships that focus on gaining actionable insights and forming collaborative partnerships with the goal of innovation, product improvement, or ease of use.
•  Experience of strategic thought leadership fueled by deep knowledge of market, industry, customer, and competitor trends and resulting in directional insights and innovations that drive progress towards business objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, work independently and as part of a team
•  Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
• Knowledge of market, industry, customer, and competitor trends
•  Familiarity with predictive analytics modeling preferred
• Strong computing skills desired, such as SAS, SQL, Syncsort, Access and Excel, --- some experience with project-oriented programming such as JAVA would be a plus, but is not a requirement
