Job Description

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing targeting and budgeting recommendations, launching campaigns on various social platforms, optimizing ads based on KPIs, reporting on campaign metrics, and providing actionable feedback to internal teams for improving performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Paid Social campaigns for multiple clients on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok, Reddit, and others
• Collaborate with other team members on research, campaign creation, and optimization efforts, produce reports capturing the measurement and optimization of client KPIs, and present results to clients.
• Conduct extensive audience, placement, and platform research to help inform Paid Social strategies for Appcast clients
• Provide strategic direction on specific initiatives, identifying key messages or value proposition and the best means to communicate or demonstrate this
• Create and present monthly and/or quarterly reports with analysis of paid social campaign performance along with strategic recommendations for continual improvement
• Forecast performance and spend for future budget recommendations
• Work closely with vendors, internal partners, and platform reps
• Assist in new business efforts/sales pitches
• Support clients and team members on non-social paid media initiatives when departmental needs arise

Qualifications

• Experience running ads on Reddit, Tiktok and other social platforms a plus
• Results-driven, organized, articulate, and a self-starter
• Positive attitude and the ability to create and maintain professional relationships with coworkers and clients
• Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and other data manipulation tools
• Strong ad copy writing skills with experience in A/B ad testing
• Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks

Education and Experience

• Experience utilizing social platforms such as Meta Business Manager and LinkedIn Ads Manager
• Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience
• 1-3 years agency experience
• Experience using Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads Manager and/or other social ad creation tools a plus

Travel Requirements

• Travel for this position may include quarterly travel to attend internal and external meetings, client pitches, and other business needs and opportunities.

Work Location and Schedule

• This is a hybrid position with work completed in one of our office locations and a remote home office.
• Typical schedules will be three days working in the office location and the remainder of week from home, however, may vary based on business or work/life balance needs.
