    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Verisk is seeking a talented content strategist with superior creativity and writing ability to join its marketing team. This role will focus on the translating our key capabilities into unifying themes that will rally and align our marketing efforts to drive Verisk into the hearts and minds of key audiences.

    The individual will define and help promote the themes that impact our industries to position Verisk as a key thought leader and value provider in these critical areas by authoring content that tells an ongoing thematic story authentic to the Verisk brand.  This critical role will be responsible for developing the brand vocabulary that will position Verisk as the leading provider of technology-driven data analytic solutions serving key industries including insurance, and communicate our vision to stakeholders including customers, internal audiences, potential employees, analyst firms, and investors.

    This role is based at Verisk headquarters in Jersey City, NJ and allows for a hybrid work schedule (two days a week in office.)

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead annual macro themes process from research, recommendation, approval and execution. Consistently revisit to ensure ongoing importance and “so-what” for key stakeholders
    • Own the macro themes editorial calendar and partner with key contributors to ensure a steady stream of relevant content that drives brand awareness and advocacy
    • Partner with the business to translate themes into as it connects with go-to-market strategies (internal and external) to ensure we are providing unified messaging
    • Write a wide range of communications that support the brand team’s needs
    • Be a strong advocate for brand voice, tone, and style requirements
    • Communicate and collaborate across teams and with senior leadership

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required in business, marketing or related field
    • Related marketing experience
      • o   8+ years professional content/copywriting experience either inhouse or at an agency
      • o   Global B2B experience preferred
      • o   Deep understanding of and demonstrable ability to communicate corporate brand positioning
    • Exceptional writing skills
      • An in-depth understanding of brand vocabulary, an ear for language, and knack for writing pithy, insightful copy that connects with customers and succinctly, yet powerfully, communicates brand
      • o   Portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking
      • o   Strategic writer who has demonstrated prior success developing theme-based content
      • o   Able to express ideas clearly, succinctly, and compellingly, with excellent command of syntax and grammar.
    • Data-driven mindset
      • Strong analytical mind to architect a measurable, outcome-based deliverable
    • Strategy driven execution
      • Someone who is always aligning tasks and activities with targeted outcomes
    • Excellent organizational skills and a metrics driven mindset
    • B2B marketing experience, with technology and insurance industry experience a plus
