Delivery Driver/Customer Service Representative:

Veritable Vegetable is seeking an OUTGOING, CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED Class C Sprinter/Van Driver to deliver organic fruits and vegetables to local restaurants and groceries and occasionally pick-up from organic farms and distributors. The available routes operate primarily within San Francisco and surrounding cities.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS:

• able to work early morning hours (START TIME IS BETWEEN 3:00 AM – 4:00 AM)
• available to work WEEKENDS / schedule may vary
• skilled in dealing with people and has proven customer service skills
• reliable, cooperative, diligent, and efficient
• able to work both independently and in a team
• proficient in basic math
• able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• experienced with produce (preferred)
• has pallet jack and forklift experience (a plus)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Class C driver’s license and be an insurable driver.
• Expert backing and parking skills. Excellent ability to navigate deliveries on crowded city streets.
• Proficient in use of all manual and power equipment (will train)
• Clear understanding of acceptable produce quality at both pick-up and delivery points (will train)
• Prior experience in the food industry, preferably working with restaurants or other food preparation establishments.
• Maintenance of a clean driving record
• Strong understanding of driver safety protocols
• Previous experience performing basic mechanical repairs and equipment maintenance procedures or willingness to learn
• Bi-lingual, Spanish/English, preferred
