The Veritas Music & Learning Center has an opening for the following teacher position private and group instructor for Violin, but would love if the new person could also teach Viola, Cello and or Piano. This position are for independent contractor status teachers at our academic and music tutoring center. IMMEDIATE NEED: One of the current violin teachers is moving out of the area. They currently teach Mondays with 9 students. Other teaching days may be available as well. In addition, we can use teachers as substitute very frequently, as well as new permanent staff, so the opportunity to substitute teach is also available Mondays through Saturdays. HOURS: Flexible. We are open 6 days a week. Teachers can fill their schedule from 1 day, to several days. Current students needing this new teacher are now scheduled for lessons on Mondays, 2:00-9:00. SALARY: $38 per hour, or $19 per 30-min lesson or tutoring session. QUALIFICATIONS: College degree is preferred, but will take into consideration teaching experience, and we are willing to mentor talented individuals who are interested in teaching. Solid music theory must be a part of the curriculum, so, the applicant must have strong background in music theory and must have had professional music lessons. The Veritas Center is a unique center where Music and Academic Tutoring all take place at the same time. We have approximately 40 teachers providing private and small group classes and lessons and tutoring in Piano, Voice, Cello, Violin, Viola, Trumpet, Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Guitar, Drums, Marimba, Bells, Saxophone, Clarinet, several languages, and all academic subjects, including Art and test prep. The center has an open and friendly waiting area, with toys and free Wi-Fi for parents or siblings. There are snacks available for purchase too! The rooms have large windows, making for a bright, welcoming atmosphere. In addition, provide a FREE service to teachers where we supply "prizes" for students to earn to keep them motivated to learn.
