VHFLC IS CURRENTLY HIRING FOR 2 POSITIONS AT OUR RALEIGH HILLS CENTER THAT PROVIDES BOTH EARLY CHILDHOOD AND SCHOOL AGE AFTER SCHOOL CARE. 

**INFANT ASST. TEACHER:  to provide a nurturing and safe environment for infants to develop and reach age-appropriate milestones. The ideal candidate will be a caring individual who enjoys teaching young infants into toddler age, with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.                       RESPONSIBILITIES:

• All aspects of caring for infants, toddlers or preschoolers.

• Classroom management - Provide age-appropriate activities for infants, toddlers or preschoolers in a supportive and caring environment.

• Maintain classroom cleanliness and closing duties at the end of the day.

• Be enthusiastic and have the ability to get down and engage with children in their activities. QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED; AND

• Ability to meet and deal courteously and effectively with other employees, parents, and the public.

• Ability to remain calm and use good judgment during confrontational or high-pressure situations that may arise.

• Ability to work assigned schedules.

**AFTER SCHOOL TEACHER:  to join our After School Program for Portland Public School District for the 2022-2023 SY, at our Raleigh Hills Center.     

           RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Instruct school-aged children (K-5th) in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
• Maintain the health and safety of all students

          QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 1 year of experience with K-5th
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills QUALIFICATIONS WE CAN HELP YOU WITH:
• Current First Aid/CPR
• Food Handler’s card
• Enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry; AND
• Initial required Oregon Early Learning Division trainings
