    Job Description

    VERO HEALTH & REHAB AT HAMPDEN

    Vero Health & Rehab at Wilbraham is a 100 bed Skilled Nursing Center located in Hampden, MA. 

    This is a dynamic opportunity for a seasoned skilled professional whose goal is to improve the lives of others and exceed all expectations. 

    The Administrator is responsible for the overall operations, leadership, management and success of the facility which includes but is not limited to financial management, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, business development, resident, family and staff relations, care delivery and community outreach. In addition, he or she will also be responsible for attracting and retaining top performing team members, while continuing the supervision and career coaching of existing team members.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Licensed Nursing Home Administrator with an unencumbered current MA license

    Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator

    Exceptional command of local, state and federal regulations

    Unwavering professionalism

    Ability to respond calmly and professionally in challenging environments or situations

    Effective computer skills

    Extraordinary interpersonal skills

    Powerful desire to improve the lives of others

    ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS

    Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility’s programs and activities in accordance with regulations and Vero guidelines.

    Implement written policies and procedures and professional standards of practice that govern the operation of the facility.

    Facilitate and coach strong department leaders netting an extraordinary team.

    Ensure that all employees, residents, visitors, and the general public follow the facility’s established policies and procedures.

    Coordinate and steer Quality Assurance and other related improvement projects designed to enhance the resident’s experience and outcomes.

    Engage and successfully manage the survey and ombudsman processes.

    Conduct community awareness programs as necessary to keep the community informed of the facility’s programs, services, activities, etc.

    Assist the Quality Assurance and Assessment Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified quality deficiencies.

    Schedule and participate in departmental meetings to ensure that appropriate information sharing is provided on a continuous basis.

    Assist department directors in the topic selection, planning, conducting, and scheduling of in-service training classes and on-the-job training and orientation programs to assure that current material and programs are continuously provided.
