JOB DESCRIPTION - VERSIANT CORPORATION
JOB TITLE: Level 2 Onboarding Engineer
PRIMARY ROLE:
Primarily responsible for onboarding of new customer environments, learning the requirements of those environments, working with senior management and engineering in following the onboarding process, and writing and training the Service Desk and fellow Level 2 support engineers in the onboarded customer environments. This position will require travel and onsite time at customer environments. You will need to possess customer facing skills, professional demeanor, and technical skills.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Versiant utilizes leading technologies to service Customers and ensure solutions meet their business requirements.
· Experience with all aspects of desktop and laptop hardware setup/maintenance, including installation and configuration of hard drives, NIC's, printers, and other PC accessories.
· Experience with Azure, Windows Virtual Desktops, and virtual computing environments.
· Experience with Windows Server applications and systems. Such as DNS, DHCP, ISS, Exchange, SharePoint, etc...
· Working knowledge of relational database concepts.
· Knowledge of TCP/IP and Windows networking fundamentals.
· Expertise in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
· Expertise with Microsoft Office 365 Applications.
· Experience with client setup for wireless networks.
· Experience working with customers in person and over phone/email/chat in a professional and helpful manner.
· Microsoft Certifications Preferred.
REQUIRED GENERAL SKILLS:
Documentation skills, candidate must see documenting work and knowledge as fundamental to troubleshooting and problem solving key to their job.
Fundamental trouble shooting skills and critical thinking capabilities.
Self-starter and personal spirit of inquiry and learning. Versiant needs technical people that have a drive to learn.
Ability to self-manage, discipline to work remote.
Experience with fundamental managed service provider processes such as ticket management, project task-based work and reporting to a project manager.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
