Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) is a comprehensive, nonresidential, two-year public institution of higher education with 4 locations-the Fauquier and Middletown Campuses, the Luray-Page County Center and the Vint Hill Site and outreach sites throughout the College's service region. The service region includes the counties of Clarke, Fauquier, Frederick, Page, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, and Warren and the city of Winchester.

LFCC offers more than 75 associate degree and certificate programs in a wide variety of disciplines, in addition to workforce preparation programs for employees and employers. The incumbent will be working a varying schedule to include weekdays, evenings and Saturdays up to 28 hours per week. Responsibilities include administering and proctoring computer- and paper-based exams for the College. Process testing fee payments and perform general office and clerical tasks, including but not limited to answering and making phone calls, writing and sending emails, faxing, data entry, maintain filing systems and meet various ongoing deadlines. Provide excellent customer service, including physically assisting, and training faculty or students with use of testing and adaptive software technologies in a courteous and respectful manner, are a critical part of this position. Maintain consistent communication with supervisory and staff and model appropriate academic attitudes and behaviors with staff, faculty and students. Frequently communicate accurate information from student inquiries about the college. Troubleshoot computer hardware and software and problem solve issues that may arise thought the work day. Regularly move about the office and position self to access file cabinets, assist and monitor student testing, maintain and operate computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., copy machine, and computer printer), including crawling under desks. Able to make decisions independently and interpret applicable federal, state, college and vendor regulations, standards, policies and procedures. Accurately record data into the Student Information System and submit necessary incident reports in a timely manner. Attend training throughout each semester as established by the supervisory staff. In addition, the incumbent is responsible to independently open and/or close the day-to-day operations of the Testing Center.
