    Job Description

    Our client is hiring an ACCOUNTING & BUSINESS MANAGER to be a key member of the organizations team and in direct support of the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR. The Organization has experience excellent growth and is poised to expand further with a $19 Million investment and build-out of additional revenue generating facilities. You will play a pivotal role as you oversee a team of four who have excellent experience and tenure performing billing to the various current sources of income for the Organization, present current state and guidance on financials at a Board Level, and work as a strategic Business Partner to the Executive Director, a great leader that has been recognized as a top performer!     • Will work under the supervision of the Executive Director and will oversee a team of 4
    • Responsible for managing all fiscal matters concerning the organization in strict compliance with HUD, HRA, OASAS 800 and 819/820 regulations
    • Will oversee the preparation of all fiscal material sent to OASAS including monthly financial reports, budgets, budget revisions and other documentation requested
    • Develop management information systems as necessary for the improvement of fiscal and other operations
    • Review and make recommendations with respect to the acquisition of equipment and other tangible property
    • Oversee the administration of payroll, payroll taxes and employee benefits with Federal, State and local agencies
    • Oversee the monthly accounting activities and month end closings to ensure that accurate records are available for timely reporting and analysis
    • Monitor cash flow and make regular projections to determine whether excess or short cash positions are likely to arise and make recommendations to the Executive Director for addressing any issues
    • Maintain records of approved purchase commitment and monitor other spending levels as necessary to avoid excess spending in relation to the budget
    • Act as a liaison with independent public accountants on all matters related to the year-end audit and special assignments
    • Oversee the recording of petty cash receipts and disbursements in accordance with OASAS instructions and approves all bills for payment
    • Approve regular financial reports to the Board of Directors and perform other responsibilities as designated by the CFO and/or the CEO
    • Oversees the operations of the billing department, including medical coding, charge entry, claims submissions, payment posting, accounts receivable follow-up, and reimbursement management
    • Understands and remains updated with HCBS and 820 coding and billing regulations and compliance requirements
    • Plans and directs patient insurance documentation, workload coding, billing and collections, and data processing to ensure accurate billing and efficient account collection
    • Supervises Billing Coordinator; Analyze billing and claims for accuracy and completeness. Prepares and analyzes accounts receivable reports.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting
    • 5+ years' experience in hands-on accounting environment, familiar with all aspects of transaction processing systems and financial reporting
    • Experience in non-profit accounting
    • Proven ability to analyze financial reports and clearly communicate financial status to Executive Director and Board members
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge of fiscal audits, state, annual
    • Must be willing to have a flexible schedule including weekends if needed
