    Vertex LLC is currently looking to hire a CASAC/CASAC-T Counselor in Brooklyn, NY. We are searching for a qualified individual to fill the Full-Time Primary Substance Abuse Counselor position in our Outpatient Programs across Brooklyn, Queens, and Bronx. The Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for providing supervision, support, and clinical services to chemically dependent clients, including those with co-occurring disorders and involvement in the criminal justice system. In this role at Vertex LLC, as a CASAC Counselor, you will utilize evidence-based approaches to assist participants through their recovery journey, with a focus on enhancing their overall well-being, family relationships, and community engagement. Your use of trauma-informed care will help in developing customized treatment plans and supporting participants through all stages of recovery. Key Highlights: Location: 2639 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11207 Benefits: • Comprehensive benefits package with Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage (Company covers 35%) • Competitive vacation policy and flexible work hours • Opportunities for professional growth through continuous training and personalized development plans Responsibilities: • Orient participants to the available services, detailing program objectives and providing ongoing support and educational materials. • Engage participants through Evidence-Based Practices, including Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. • Deliver high-quality Telehealth and in-person individual and group sessions. • Document progress and engage continuously with participants to support their recovery goals. • Implement person-centered counseling, including crisis intervention, individual sessions, group support, and case management. • Facilitate psychoeducation regarding the use of Medication Assisted Treatment and maintain care continuity. • Promote adaptive coping and problem-solving skills through alternative solutions and enhanced decision-making abilities. • Educate participants on addiction and its impacts, tailoring interventions to individual needs. • Maintain liaison with external agencies for additional services or referrals. • Manage and report toxicology testing processes to ensure clarity and compliance. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Must have OASAS certification as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC or CASAC-T). • Proficiency in both Google and Microsoft Suite. • Experience with DHS and EHR preferred. • Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred, however, not necessary. Compensation: $40,000 - $58,000
