    Senior/Financial Accountant

    Our Client is a growing Consumer Product Goods company within the Food & Beverage industry and they're seeking a motivated Senior/Financial Accountant to join their Accounting team.

    Summary:

    The Financial Accountant is responsible for supporting timely and accurate recording and reporting of general accounting and related information. Prepares accurate and timely financial statements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Preparation of periodic financial statements as required by regulations and requested by management.
    • Maintain, reviews and analyzes general ledger accounts to ensure accurate reporting of financial activities.
    • Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Preparation of management reports including weekly and monthly financial reports.
    • Provide support on monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes including actual vs budget analysis.
    • Maintains and update documentation of systems processes and internal controls as related to the Financial Statements.
    • Track and allocate costs associated with different departments and cost centers.
    • Preparation of audit schedules and other year-end schedules.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively to management and outside parties.
    • Preparation of ad-hoc reports and projects upon management request.
    • Perform other related duties, as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
    • Five or more years of experience in general accounting
    • CPA/CMA or CPA/CMA candidate is a plus.
    • Solid working knowledge of GAAP. Ability to investigate and propose courses of action
    • Strong PC/Microsoft office skills, proficient in Excel and accounting software is plus.
    • Ability to set priorities and perform variety of complex work assignment.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Must be able to meet deadlines
    • Must be highly organized
    • Must be a self-starter and dependable.
