Senior Accountant
Our client is the world's first all-in-one music & entertainment destination that combines premium live streams of concerts and festivals, expertly-curated streaming radio stations, podcasts, and original artist video and audio content. They are looking for someone in Los Angeles or San Diego area.
Summary:
The candidate must have experience and an in-depth understanding of how to execute accounting processes in a sophisticated capacity. The position compiles, analyzes, reconciles, and records different sources of revenues to the GL and sub-ledger.
Responsibilities:
- Entering cash receipts and adjustments throughout the month and at month-end into the NetSuite sub-ledger
- Review and process multiple monthly revenue reports, as well as entering into the NetSuite sub-ledger and GL while reconciling the data
- Prepare various monthly roll-forward schedules
- Run monthly reports from Oracle databases
- Assist with the quarterly audit reviews and annual audit
- Update monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Excel
- Handle the full AR process for the Slacker subsidiary, from running an AR aging to ensuring proper and timely collections from vendors
- Generate and send invoices to external clients
- Enter bank transactions at month-end and perform bank reconciliations
- Update prepaid and intangible accounts and enter into the NetSuite sub-ledger
- Import and reconcile fixed assets and depreciation from NetSuite sub-ledger
- Enter quarterly sales tax data for two reporting districts
- Full cycle accounting responsibility for recent acquisitions. Provide general ledger and operational accounting support
- Ad hoc responsibilities
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, with command of complex functions including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT, Pivot Tables, etc.
- Proficient in NetSuite, with specific experience in Receivables, Revenue Recognition, and General Ledger
- Understands intercompany transactions
- Excellent attention to detail
- Familiar with operating procedures and controls in a SOX environment
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Proficient in US GAAP
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
