    Summary:

    Our client, a rapidly growing CPG - Consumer Product Goods company is seeking multiple Senior/ National Sales/Account Managers to support their growth and expansion. They value family, innovation and creating a collaborative environment for their employees. 

    Description:

    The Senior National Account Manager (aka NAM) is responsible for managing and growing large online and brick and mortar retailers. Primary focus for The National Account Manager will be creating and executing strategic plans for existing account program growth as well as finding, securing and growing into new accounts. We’re seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of National Chain Store sales account manager experience and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, he/she will be involved implementing sales plans to maximize overall corporate sales and profit goals. He/She should show initiative, and can develop sales programs for assigned Accounts through creative and innovative planning and strategy. 

    Scope of Responsibilities:

    • Direct responsibility for identifying, cultivating, growing and managing key account programs in specified sales channels in the United States.
    • Create and implement short/medium/long-term account strategies in conjunction with management and corporate objectives.
    • Develop and coordinate promotional marketing programs with key strategic retail partners for new product launches during every day & holiday/seasonal promotional selling seasons
    • Identify buyer influences, recommended trends & product needs, converted to our categories.
    • Establishing and maintaining deep relationships at each Key Account, including but not limited to buying planning/replenishment, assistant buyers, merchandising, and management.
    • Thorough understanding and knowledge of specific account compliance requirements and the ability to communicate to appropriate departments, while “quarterbacking” to consummate sale.
    • Weekly account specific POS analytics, and appropriate action plan, maximizing sales, minimizing risk by SKN. Communicating to replenishment managers, building and securing long term vendor retailer relationships.
    • Knowledge of company’s ERP system, ability to manage account data maintaining accurate data, resulting in timely, retailer compliant shipments and invoicing. Consistent updated log of all account activities, progress and results vs budgets.
    • Interfacing with finance to insure receivables are paid accurately and on-time.
    • Forecasting account product needs and achieving budgeted sales goals at established profit margins.
    • Analyze weekly sell-through reports from to maximize upside business, minimize risk, recognize trends, establishing POS multiples, and associated management of account ladder plans and subsequent orders.
    • Participate as requested for internal line reviews with product development and senior management.
    • Work collaboratively with other teams in the company as required
    • Air travel/overnight travel required as necessary 

    Criteria/Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 
    • 5+ years in mid / mass account sales. Experience within the CPG consumer product industry necessary; toy/children's industry and/or strong mission driven brand experience preferred.
