    AVP, Closed-end Fund Accounting

    Our client is a large reputable Financial Services firm with over $100B AUM. They foster a healthy work-life balance with great internal progression and excellent benefits. They are seeking an Experience and Dynamic Assistant Vice President who will be joining their team.

    Responsibilities

    The Assistant Vice President will be responsible for maintaining the books and records for various funds within the Global Private Debt business, including certain company's BDCs. Responsibilities will include:

    • Accounting for and reconciliation of cash and investments
    • Recording and reconciling of purchase and sale transactions
    • Estimating and posting of monthly closing accruals
    • Partnering with our corporate actions team in reviewing and accounting for complex corporate actions
    • Calculating management and incentive fees
    • Determining and preparing distributions and draw-downs
    • Preparing and reviewing of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including SEC regulatory reporting
    • Analyzing and calculating of performance metrics
    • Coordinating with independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers and fund administrators
    • Documenting processes and internal controls over financial reporting
    • Performing other tasks as required.

    Qualifications

    • 8+ years of relevant accounting or audit experience. Big Four public accounting background is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis
    • Strong technical accounting skills and the ability to apply relevant investment company accounting rules
    • Experience with SEC financial reporting
    • Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems; and
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred.
