Accounting Manager or Controller

Our client is a stable healthcare services provider. They are based in Irvine and is seeking for a competent and driven Accounting Manager or a Controller that can work on a hybrid schedule.

Summary:

The Accounting Manager or Controller will manage the general ledger and financial close, improve the accounting processes, create, and maintain accounting policies and procedures and lead and manage the accounting staff in a fast paced and growing company.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain books in accordance with GAAP
• Monthly closing and general ledger maintenance, review, and analysis
• Prepare/review account reconciliations and journal entries
• Coordinate monthly reporting and general ledger analysis and review against budget and previous year’s actuals
• Participate in the fixed asset capitalization and reporting processes
• Assistance with the coordination of audits in coordination with outside auditors
• Preparation of necessary audit schedules and audit support including physical inventories
• Provide oversight and maintain various government and tax filings (sales & use tax, business licenses, real estate taxes, etc.)
• Assists with special projects as assigned, including, but not limited to, acquisition diligence/integration, new accounting standards implementations, technical accounting research, technology upgrades and ad-hoc reporting requests
• Hire, train, and develop accounting staff
• Other duties and projects as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Approximately 5+ years of accounting experience
• Public accounting experience a plus
• CPA certification a plus
