    Financial Reporting Analyst [Financial Planning & Analysis) 

    Our Client, a $3B+ global professional services firm located in DTLA. They are stable and continuing to hire despite the impact of COVID19; however, will be a lot more selective so PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO APPLYING.

    As a Financial Reporting Analyst at firm, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements, capital accounting analysis reports and annual audit and tax schedules. This will require strong interpersonal skills and very strong analytical skills, including reconciliation and analysis of capital accounts. In addition, you will provide assistance to the Manager and Senior Financial Accountant with various projects, while accomplishing these and other critical functions:

    • Analyzing monthly cash activity, including all currencies, to provide management with meaningful information on cash and capital activity and proposed cash draw amounts
    • Assisting maintenance of detail partnership capital and income records, including capital contributions, income allocation, distributions, and capital purchases and sale transactions
    • Preparing detail partnership retirement plan details and providing ad hoc analysis for partners planning purposes.
    • Preparing retired partner compensation report and supporting partnership annual meetings.
    • Collaborating with broader finance management team on initiatives including annual budget, year-end reporting, and new report development
    • Preparing monthly consolidated financial statements and capital accounting reports.
    • Preparing financial results, investigating any variances and prepare explanations
    • Classifying and summarizing financial transactions and events and assisting in creation and maintenance of financial accounting procedures
    • Participating and assisting in a number of special projects

    Qualifications/Criteria:

    • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field is required, and a CPA is preferred. 
    • 2+ years experience in increasingly complex accounting is required, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
    • Experience in financial reporting and modeling is desired.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude.
    • Strong attention to details and deadlines, thorough knowledge of complex partnership accounting principles, and well-developed and professional interpersonal skills.
    • Advanced skills with Excel, Word and Access
    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
