    Senior Director Real Estate Finance

    Job Summary

    Our client, a Fortune 500 publicly traded global company is seeking an experience and dynamic Senior Director Real Estate Finance, who will be a key member of the corporate Global Real Estate Teams. This seasoned business professional, in collaboration with executive leadership, is responsible for executing the financial analysis for the company’s global real estate and operational activities for a global portfolio. A strong finance and accounting background is an absolute must in working closely with key executives, many of whom were former Big 4 accounting partners. In collaboration with other stakeholders, Global Real Estate is a strategic partner to the organization and a key driver of cost leadership and risk mitigation. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Global Real Estate this role will essentially serve as the Financial Officer for Global Real Estate group.

    Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance. An MBA, CPA, Big 4 Accounting and/or investment banking experience a plus
    • 7 years of experience in global corporate real estate, and portfolio planning, preferably within the design, engineering or construction industries.
    • A track record of success and experience in a matrix environment; 6+ years of leadership
    • Strong execution, leadership, and communication skills and the ability to sell to senior management. He/she thinks critically to resolve difficult issues and challenges.
    • Excellent leadership skills managing a significant P&L and capital budget for a Global Real Estate operation.
    • Advanced financial and analytical skills, including knowledge of operating and capital budget development and management in order to drive action toward desired outcomes.
    • Experience with all aspects of a real estate transaction
    • Ability to motivate and drive change.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies:

    Business Acumen – The ideal candidate will be analytical, strategic, and intellectually aggressive. Possessing excellent data analysis skills, he/she must have the ability to grasp complex operational activities on a global scale to create financial modeling and procedures which drive actions that mitigate risks, increase reporting efficiencies, and maximize solutions.

    Implementation Skills – This person is exceptionally objective and logical, knows when and how to utilize key resources and data and focuses on achieving specific, defined and measurable results.

    Communications and Influencing Skills – The ideal candidate has strong verbal communications skills and is poised, confident and persuasive in formal and informal settings with senior executives, peers and business partners. Written communications skills must be exceptional.

    Leadership and Team Building Skills – This individual will have an established track record for building and leading a strong global real estate finance operations team. This involves the development of senior level relationships with both internal and external key partners to provide service and solution-oriented results as well as active management of the business in real time. The ideal candidate will be able to generate enthusiasm with an ability to work in a team environment. He/she should be collegial in their approach and be known for fostering open communication and getting “buy-in” from others – with facts and sound analysis. This person should have a proven record of achievement in developing and motivating others to achieve superior results and exceed their own expectations.
