PROJECT ENGINEER - AUTO MANUFACTURING
Located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, our client is a customized automotive manufacturer. They are looking for an accountable Project Engineer to be responsible for engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. He/She will schedule, plan and manage the technical activities aiming at ensuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve vehicle components for new and existing projects based on vehicle requirements
- Create and maintain working instructions/ best practices for vehicle production
- Responsible for component release through vehicle lifecycle, including to design, BOM management, validation testing and production support
- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and applies knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, jig design, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; observations from operators
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, equipment layout, and jig designs.
- Provides manufacturing decision-making information by assisting with calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
- Manage vehicle component part system using Catia V5
Skills/Qualifications:
- BS degree in Engineering or relevant field
- 3+ years of solid experience with Catia V5.
- Proven working experience as a project engineer; Automotive experience is preferred
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Project management and supervision skills

- Time management and organization skills
