    PROJECT ENGINEER - AUTO MANUFACTURING

    Located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, our client is a customized automotive manufacturer. They are looking for an accountable Project Engineer to be responsible for engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. He/She will schedule, plan and manage the technical activities aiming at ensuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and improve vehicle components for new and existing projects based on vehicle requirements
    • Create and maintain working instructions/ best practices for vehicle production
    • Responsible for component release through vehicle lifecycle, including to design, BOM management, validation testing and production support
    • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and applies knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, jig design, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; observations from operators
    • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, equipment layout, and jig designs.
    • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by assisting with calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
    • Manage vehicle component part system using Catia V5

    Skills/Qualifications:

    • BS degree in Engineering or relevant field
    • 3+ years of solid experience with Catia V5.
    • Proven working experience as a project engineer; Automotive experience is preferred
    • Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD
    • Advanced MS Office skills
    • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
    • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
    • Project management and supervision skills
    • Decision making ability and leadership skills
    • Time management and organization skills
