Accounting Manager

Our client is a stable healthcare services provider. They are based in Irvine and is seeking for a competent and driven Accounting Manager that can work on a hybrid schedule.

Summary:

The Accounting Manager will manage the general ledger and financial close, improve the accounting processes, create, and maintain accounting policies and procedures and lead and manage the accounting staff in a fast paced and growing company.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain books in accordance with GAAP
• Monthly closing and general ledger maintenance, review, and analysis
• Prepare/review account reconciliations and journal entries
• Coordinate monthly reporting and general ledger analysis and review against budget and previous year’s actuals
• Participate in the fixed asset capitalization and reporting processes
• Assistance with the coordination of audits in coordination with outside auditors
• Preparation of necessary audit schedules and audit support including physical inventories
• Provide oversight and maintain various government and tax filings (sales & use tax, business licenses, real estate taxes, etc.)
• Assists with special projects as assigned, including, but not limited to, acquisition diligence/integration, new accounting standards implementations, technical accounting research, technology upgrades and ad-hoc reporting requests
• Hire, train, and develop accounting staff
• Other duties and projects as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Approximately 5+ years of accounting experience
• Public accounting experience a plus
• CPA certification a plus
