    Financial Analyst - Entertainment

    Our client is a large reputable Global Entertainment company and is based in West Los Angeles, CA. They are seeking an up and coming driven Financial Analyst to join their elite and highly profitable division. Scope of role includes comprehensive financial / project analysis of assigned Divisions, as well as assignments directed by division and Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis FP&A leadership / team. 

    The Role:

    The Financial Analyst will be responsible for tracking and analyzing numerous projects within the Brand Consulting division to ensure revenues and expenses are accurate and aligned with expectations. Analysts will work closely with Corporate Finance Leadership, Division leaders, and Project Managers as a key source to bridge information between the groups. The analyst will prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis to understand and communicate the performance of the division and projects to relevant parties. The role includes detailed revenue tracking and analysis, participation in the development of the annual budget, quarterly forecasting, budget vs. actual variance analysis, and ad hoc analysis as directed.

    Responsibilities:

    The Financial Analyst’s responsibilities include the following:

    • Become a go-to financial resource for the leadership team
    • Assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan and quarterly revised forecasts by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger and Trust systems
    • Prepare monthly P&L actual vs. budget analysis for Division and Finance leadership
    • Provide high-quality ad hoc analysis and reports to Finance leadership as requested
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and complete improvement projects on your own initiative and/or as requested by Management
    • Track financial metrics to spot trends and communicate performance to Management
    • Cultivate relationships within the assigned Divisions to build a robust communication network
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and client activity
    • Analyze and follow up regarding open/future bookings to ensure data accuracy, working closely with the A/R Trust group and key Division contacts
    • Track and project client revenues by analyzing booking reports and contract summary data, working closely with Division key contacts
    • Respond to Management questions through research and analysis
    • Provide management reports and analysis as requested

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Economics; MBA, Master's or higher educations track preferred. 
    • 1 to 3 years of financial analysis and/or accounting experience required with Sports, Broadcasting/Radio, and/or Entertainment industry experience a plus. 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Finance is required.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong time management, decision-making, attention to detail
