Human Resources Business Partner
Our client is a large reputable Financial Services firm with over $100B AUM located in Downtown Los Angeles |DTLA]. They are seeking an Experience and Dynamic HR Business Partner who will be joining their Finance and Fund Accounting Team.
Summary:
HR Business Partner will contribute to the development and effective delivery of HR strategies and services by working in partnership with managers and employees within designated sub-departments across the company. Through managing relationships and having a thorough understanding of both the department’s business and people challenges, the HR Business Partner will effectively champion appropriate HR solutions.
Responsibilities include:
Act as the primary point of contact for the Chief Financial Officer, sub-department heads, and managers, ensuring the overall HR strategy is aligned with the business and its priorities;
Strategically partner with Finance Leadership on various people-focused initiatives to further organizational development, talent development, career progression opportunities, and collaboration between sub-departments;
In partnership with HR specialty teams, manage and execute HR processes including, but not limited to year-end compensation, talent management, performance management, talent acquisition, employee relations, learning & development, change management, and employee engagement;
Provide cross-organization information and perspective to business leaders (e.g., share and transplant best practices from the rest of the business) and serve as the connection between business units;
Provide ongoing key hiring and retention data to Finance Leadership, identifying trends in the business and the market, and assist with identifying ongoing recruiting needs across all Finance sub-departments;
Provide coaching to enhance management and leadership abilities, relationships among teams/individuals, interpersonal communications, and performance management;
Partner with the Compensation team and business leadership to develop and deploy compensation plans that are fair, competitive, supportive of organizational strategies, and compliant with company direction, local laws, pay equity, or other statutory requirements;
Design and implement succession planning and talent management initiatives to develop career paths for employees that map to the firm’s strategy; and
Participate and drive programming for the company’s Diversity and Inclusion initiatives
Experience required
Bachelor’s degree is required.
8+ years of human resource experience with a minimum of 6 years in a business partner or similar role
Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, compensation processes, talent management, and organizational diagnosis
Successful track record of working collaboratively and cultivating strong relationships with clients and HR colleagues
Thorough knowledge of CA labor and employment laws
Deep understanding of HR best practices
Strong business acumen
Proven track record in quickly gaining credibility and partnering collaboratively with business leaders
