    Senior Tax Specialist

    Our partner client is a large Global Professional Services firm based in Downtown Los Angeles and they are seeking a motivated Senior Tax Specialist to join their Corporate Tax Accounting team. 

    Scope of Responsibilities:

    • Prepare federal, state and foreign offices tax schedules for the preparation of the U.S. federal, state and international partnership income tax returns
    • Lead the process of preparing and providing information to external tax accountants for the U.S. federal and state partnership tax returns and international tax filings
    • Manage and maintain tax compliance calendar
    • Handle federal, state and local tax audits
    • Prepare written correspondence and other documents for IRS or other tax authorities
    • Handle various tax compliance duties: sales/use taxes, unsecured property tax, partnership withholding tax, partners tax estimate, quarterly estimated tax, business license tax, rent tax, excise tax, value added tax (VAT), etc.
    • Prepare tax planning analysis, estimates and annual tax budget
    • Maintain the partners’ tax information databases and historical information used by firm management
    • Prepare and deliver the annual partners’ K-1 package (by using tools such as Mail Merge, DocuSign, etc.)
    • Prepare the partners’ U.S. and international partner withholding tax calculations
    • Interacts regularly with the following groups: GL, Financial Planning, HRIS, Benefits, Payroll, and overseas offices.
    • Assist the Director of Tax with ad hoc projects

    Qualifications/Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation related; Master's or CPA a plus
    • 3-6 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or industry
    • Tax compliance experience is a must
    • Outstanding client service and communication skills

    The salary range in CA for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 and represents the firm’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
