    ACCOUNTING MANAGER

    Our partner client with headquarter in Irvine, CA is seeking a dynamic and driven CPA as Accounting Manager for their growing team.

    Job Description:

    • Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation and reporting.
    • Participation in all activities related to the period-end close process including accurate & timely preparation of journal entries and the timely research/resolution of P&L issues and questions.
    • Prepare period-end account reconciliations and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
    • Auditing and verifying documents that support overall account balances.
    • Assist in preparing internal financial statements and footnotes.
    • Assist with annual external audit and prepare assigned schedules for the annual audit.
    • Assist with special projects including testing system enhancements, report development and establishing new account reconciliations.
    • Review daily cash projections and reconciling of cash and credit sales.
    • Responsible for investment and gift card accounting and reconciliations
    • Responsible for Interchange Analysis
    • Supervision of accounting staff

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
    • 7+ years’ of progressive Accounting experience, including 2+ years in public accounting required (preferably Big 4 or National CPA firm)
    • Active CPA license required
    • Exceptional collaborative and teamwork skills
    • Thorough understanding of US GAAP, specifically in the areas of investments and accrued liabilities.
    • Experience in cash reconciliations, credit card reconciliation, gift card reconciliations and interchange analysis preferred
    • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
    • Ability to ensure confidentiality, take initiative and exercise considerable judgment
    • Ability to confidently communicate with external auditors
    • Highly self-motivated, independent and proactive worker who is eager to learn
    • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, sumifs, etc.)
    • Some travel is required
