They are seeking an up & coming Investment Banking Analyst/Associate for their Mergers & Acquisitions | M&A Group.

    The M&A Group advises both corporate and financial clients on strategic transactions. The team originates and executes M&A transactions across various industries and coordinates deal execution with industry groups and capital markets teams on a global basis. The Americas M&A group is a leader in the industry, advising on some of the most high profile transactions.

    The Technology M&A Group advises both corporate and financial clients on strategic transactions. The team originates and executes M&A transactions across various technology verticals and coordinates deal execution with the Technology industry group and capital markets teams on a global basis.

    Job Description

    As an Analyst you will:

    • Work closely with Associates and VP’s to build financial models and prepare presentation materials / other deliverables for investment banking clients
    • Play a key role supporting origination, evaluating opportunities and executing deals, working on a broad scope of assignments and products across multiple sectors
    • Serve as a key resource working closely with Associates, VP’s and RMs to create client deliverables and meet ad-hoc client requests
    • Prepare client presentations and final work products
    • Perform industry and company research to support business development and on an ad-hoc basis
    • Assist in coordinating information flow and execution with product groups

    As an Associate you will:

    • Help the team to deliver solutions that bring to bear the full breadth of the bank's capabilities and its competitive advantages as a top tier bank
    • Take ownership of valuation analysis by guiding and supervising Analysts, which will lead you to develop expertise in the financial and analytical practices
    • Structure, prepare and deliver client presentations
    • Actively participate in executing transactions and work to expand your level of client interaction and responsibilities on transactions
    • Manage and mentor junior professionals in the context of deal executions, marketing pitches and general career development
    • Work closely with the Regional MDs, senior clients, lawyers and representatives from other investment banks

    Qualifications

    • 1 year (Analyst) / 2-3 years (Associate) of Investment Banking experience at a top-tier firm
    • Bachelors degree required
    • Strong quantitative/analytical skills
    • Professional maturity and experience to interact with senior bankers
    • Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking and distinguished communication skills
    • Ability to manage several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
