    Our client is currently seeking a proven and highly motivated individual to join them as the Communications Manager. This will be a key role during what promises to be an era of explosive growth – one in which the company will expand into new markets and channels.

    Duties/Responsibilities: The Communications Manager will be responsible for building and leading a new communications organization consisting of Public Relations, Internal Communications, Crisis Communications and Analyst Relations. They will work closely and in a holistic fashion with Brand and Product Marketing, HR, product teams and the company’s executive leadership to fully support the products, brand, and reputation. The role will grow and manage a team of outstanding communicators and will work closely with cross functional partners across Brand Marketing, Product Design, Sales, e-commerce, and Communications. This role requires an individual to have a passion for the products and the solar/energy storage industry, be sales-oriented, have strong attention to detail, demonstrate an unwavering commitment to delivering results and be motivated by a fast-paced, start-up environment.

    The Communications Manager’s activities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Build, lead, and coach an outstanding communications team.

    • Define, manage, and execute best-in-class communications campaigns for new and existing product initiatives, brand awareness campaigns, reputation programs and leadership initiatives.

    • Plan and practice crisis communications strategies and execution, working with teams across the functions.

    • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to promote and positively represent the organization through internal and external communication.

    • Develop and implement policies and procedures for communicating on behalf of the organization that represents the corporate identity and promotes and supports the mission. • Oversee the workflow and work assignments of the communications team to ensure effective collaboration among team members and consistent, quality work.

    • Draft proposals for special communications projects; presents on and promotes these projects to company leaders.

    • Seek new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events and changes in the organization including the launch of new products, special events, local and global community service, and other topics of interest.

    • Prepare and deliver presentations in the company to share information.

    • Represent the company in a variety of settings, always promoting the company in the best possible way.

    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    • Partner closely with the company's user and product teams to better understand customer needs and the broader competitive landscape.

    • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of communication plans, working closely with product design, region, and sales teams.

    • Work to ensure alignment on product positioning and communications architecture across all channels.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • Experience in solar energy, battery storage or similar

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field. Media experience a plus.

    • 8+ years managing the communications function at a tech or consumer electronics company, or at a fast-paced, innovative consumer brand

    • Experience leveraging a portfolio of highly innovative products to effectively implement a onebrand ecosystem strategy

    • Ability to develop and implement processes to scale communications for success in a rapidly growing marketing and communications organization

    • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with business performance metrics and KPIs

    • Comfort level and experience with direct, two-way customer engagement

    • Track record of defining and successfully delivering integrated communications programs with superior ROI

    • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects

    • Organizational aptitude with flexibility, proven record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment

    • Demonstrated experience using data and metrics to measure performance, making adjustments accordingly

    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to form strong internal and external business relationships
