  • Responsibilities

    Payroll & Benefits Administrator

    Summary:

    • Responsible for the overall employee payroll and benefits administration
    • Process and maintain employee information in HRIS system
    • Ensure all data/documentations/procedures associated with compensation, payroll, and benefits are in compliance with audit standards, Bank’s laws, and regulations
    • Employee Payroll and Benefits Implementation
    • Process employee payroll, benefits, insurance, pension, and savings plans (including payroll transmission and breakdown, general ledger reconciliation, E-time vacation accrual reports, ADP bills, and reimbursement, etc.)
    • Prepare monthly salary and benefits related reports
    • Prepare data and information associated with payroll, benefits, and compensation to internal and/or external auditors and regulators if requested
    • Support the execution of compensation, payroll, and benefits procedures and documentations with legal and regulatory requirements
    • Update payroll, benefits, compensation and other employee information for the maintenance of human resources information and payroll system
    • Respond to any inquires in relation to compensation and benefits by employees
    • Reconcile and process AP bills on a timely matter
    • Reconcile all HR general ledgers
    • Perform related duties, as required, for the training and development purposes
    • Perform all assigned duties under Bank’s compliance programs and related laws & regulations
    • Successfully complete all mandatory training on related Bank’s and BSA compliance as well as other laws and regulations as assigned and in a timely manner.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources or related fields is preferred
    • 3+ years working experience, experience in payroll & benefits administration
    • Expertise with ADP Workforce NOW is a plus
    • Working knowledge of Federal, State, and City payroll and benefits compliance
    • Strong organization skills and high level attention to detail
    • Good computer skills in MS-Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Good written, communication, and inter-personal skills
    • Experience documenting processes and internal controls
    • Ability to work independently
    • Customer service orientation and willing to go the extra mile to support internal and/or external customer needs
