    Finance Manager - Reporting & Analysis | FP&A | Accounting

    Our client is a private equity backed, trendy CPG: consumer product goods manufacturer/retailer/eCommerce located in Downtown LA with hybrid 3 days in office/2 days remote and 1/2 day Fridays during Summer. They have been established for over 25 years and are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual as Finance Manager to join their Finance team reporting directly to the CFO, a former Big 6 CPA.

    This role has high visibility to senior leadership in Finance, Strategy, Operations, Design and etc. A ground up opportunity to get to know business from inside out, great learning potential for someone operationally driven, in depth and wider view of business. CFO believes in strengthening the team, grooming and mentoring for growth.

    Job Description:

    • Prepare, review and post Journal entries, G/L maintenance and variance analysis
    • Assist the VP Finance in preparing timely and accurate financial statements for both US and Consolidated Company
    • Prepare intelligent business analysis and commentaries (Budget vs. Actuals, Forecasts)
    • Exposure to FP&A
    • Assist with Board Presentation pack
    • Manage and supervise daily treasury functions, including preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
    • Prepare and submit weekly reports for lender compliance and related analysis
    • Own Profit Margin Analysis (COGS, reserves, variances) and prepare adequate analysis
    • Timely submission of corporate filings; including but not limited to Sales & Use tax, etc.
    • Assist in development, process improvements, and implementation of new procedures as necessary
    • Assist with audits and other ad hoc projects
    • Drive functional efficiencies and add value; Coach and mentor team members
    • This is a truly global role with exposure to international markets and business analysis
    • Supervise a team of Staff Accountants

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years accounting, financial reporting experience required
      • 2+ in public accounting experience and 2+ years in supervisory capacity preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree Business/Accounting/ Finance required; CPA preferred but not required
    • Ability to communicate with Executives and be the Right Hand to VP Finance
    • Experience with inventory required (wholesale, e-commerce retail, manufacturing, consumer products industry)
    • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to multitask, has sharp decision-making skills, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
    • Detail-oriented with ability to recommend solutions to business issues and process improvements
    • Self-driven, value adding approach and a “can do” attitude
