    Accounting Manager | Senior Accounting Manager

    Our client is a large reputable Financial Services firm with over $100B AUM located in Downtown Los Angeles |DTLA. They are seeking for an Experience and Dynamic Sr./Manager, Corporate Accounting who will be joining their Corporate Accounting Team.

    Responsibilities

    The Manager or Senior Manager will be responsible for maintaining the books and records for various private partnerships and accounts, as well as reporting to clients and the investment team.

    Location: Los Angeles, CA or Dallas, TX

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Preparation and maintenance of the books and records of pooled private investment funds organized as limited partnerships and/or separate accounts;
    • Preparation and/or review of complex management fee and waterfall calculations;
    • Recording and reconciliation of cash, investments and other balance sheet accounts;
    • Recording of purchase and sale transactions;
    • Accounting for complex corporate actions;
    • Estimating and posting of accruals;
    • Preparation and/or review of allocations of income and expense allocations to each partner, including updating of distribution waterfall based on the terms of the governing documents;
    • Proposing and preparing distributions and drawdowns;
    • Preparation monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports;
    • Analyzing and calculating performance metrics for partnerships/accounts as well as for each investment;
    • Coordinating with funds’ independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers and fund administrators;
    • Performing other tasks as required.

     

    Qualifications/Education: 

    • Minimum 5 years relevant accounting or audit experience within Big Four public accounting or a mix of public accounting and investment management industry experience;
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis;
    • Excellent understanding of accounting and the ability to apply relevant investment company accounting rules;
    • Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems; and
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
