    Senior Accountant

    Summary:

    Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, month end close, fixed asset processing, property tax returns, and accounts payable for the Corporate Headquarters division.

    Month End Close

    • Journal Entries
    • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
    • GL Review
    • Financial Statement Analysis
    • Intercompany Reconciliation

    Fixed Assets and Property Taxes

    • Coordinate with markets to obtain supporting documentation for additions and deletions
    • Process additions, deletions, and run monthly depreciation in fixed asset software
    • Maintain Construction In Progress by Station
    • Maintain Fixed Asset Rollforward Schedule
    • Maintain Physical Locations List
    • Maintain Book and Tax books
    • Business Property Tax Statements
    • File annual Property Taxes
    • Statement of Values for Insurance Renewal

    Cash

    • Bank Reconciliations
    • Remote Bank Deposits
    • Petty Cash Reconciliation
    • Cash Flow Analysis

    Accounts Payable

    • Point of contact for all vendor inquiries
    • Maintain vendor files in MAS 500 and ensure all new vendors have provided required information (as needed)
    • Process all payables
    • Accounts Payable Accruals
    • Preparation and filing of annual 1099s and 1042s

    Other Duties:

    • Assistance with audit requests during annual financial audit
    • Additional ad hoc tasks and assistance with projects as assigned

     

    Qualifications/Criteria:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or related field
    • 5+ years of professional Accounting experience
    • Strong MS Office skills (Power Point, Excel, and Word)
    • Exceptional organizational skills
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work under deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to prioritize daily routing and urgent tasks
