    DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION SERVICES

    Our client is a Large Non-Profit 501c (3) Organization that provide direct services and partners with a diverse group of companies including universities/academic researchers, government agencies, community organizations and public/private consortia on multi-facet healthcare programs.

    SUMMARY

    This Director of Education Services opportunity is an exciting role in building a new, online professional development, certification and learning program for the organization. The Director will provide vision and leadership in developing, implementing and evaluating organization's new service line of learning initiatives. The position will work in a highly collaborative and positive manner in creating new strategies for online learning, ranging from online certification programs to on-demand webinars, that are consistent with the agency’s strategic goals. Reporting to the Human Resources Officer [CHRO], with high visibility and contact with the organization’s CEO, the Director will take practical steps to build a premiere professional development and online learning program for the population health/social service workforce and for the finance/grant support staff that partner with them. The Director will identify and facilitate innovative solutions for expanding the organization's institutional online presence; work across programs to capture opportunities to elevate the online experience of clients/participants; and will supervise staff that assist in the development and delivery of the organization’s online efforts. This position requires excellent organizational, planning, marketing communication and inter-personal skills. The candidate should be highly familiar with the population health landscape and with building/executing large online learning programs. Detailed job functions are listed below.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Gather input from stakeholders to best understand curricular needs of current/potential clients and partners.
    • Use input provided to develop a new service line of professional development and learning initiatives for the agency that aligns with the agency’s mission, vision and strategic plans.
    • Work with IT department and outside consultants, as necessary, to create/procure a best practice learning management system (LMS) for the online delivery of desired courses.
    • Work with staff, program partners and outside consultants/other subject matter experts, as needed, to develop evidence-based curricula.
    • Develop companion, detailed implementation (Phase I business) and evaluation plans, including timelines to execute on the new service line.
    • Use the implementation and evaluation plan to create a calendar of curricular offerings.
    • Work with the Director of Marketing & Communication to develop a companion marketing strategy and use this strategy to advertise the agency’s curricular offerings.
    • Offer curricula and train staff/consultants to provide curricula and evaluation tools.
    • Lead the management of administration for curricular offerings.
    • Conduct Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) to ensure ongoing growth of service line/improvement of services.
    • Research and analyze new or evolving trends in digital learning and professional development.
    • Contribute to pricing strategies and revenue analysis of learning activities for the agency.
    • Other duties, as assigned by CHRO and senior management. 

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Health or science degree preferred.
    • MBA/MPH/Masters in Education or PhD preferred
    • 7+ years of experience in leading externally-focused, revenue-generating professional development, certification and/or learning programs for health and/or social service organizations (preferably with both an online and in-person component).
    • Experience with a Learning Management system (LMS)
    • Knowledge of and experience with the application of best practices in educational technologies, instructional design, and quality online course delivery.
    • Ability to be creative and provide innovative solutions to a changing educational landscape.
    • Ability to successfully operate in complex environments that include both public agencies and the private sector.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices as related to educational technologies and online learning.
    • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and managing online initiatives.
    • Demonstrated experience in online education administration, organization, and strategic planning.
    • Demonstrated experience developing, organizing, successfully implementing, and managing new initiatives.
    • Proven track record in creating and successfully executing on professional development and learning programs.
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Experience supervising others
    • Willingness to travel and work in fast-paced dynamic team environment
