Our partner client is a well established National CPA firm with locations nationwide. They have an opening for a Sr. Tax Manager for Irvine, CA.

Job Description

We have an opening for a qualified, exceptional Sr. Tax Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity in a growing firm for the right individual interested in advancement and growth. Key responsibilities include:

• Performs technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity.
• Demonstrates technical competency commensurate with that of a Senior Manager
• Performs client service and sees that assignments are accomplished within budgeted time.
• Manages more complex and larger tax projects including delegating to roles to various team members.
• Identifies and structures tax research and writing projects.
  

Qualifications/Requirements: 

• Active CPA license required, Masters of Taxation preferred
• 7+ years recent experience with a CPA firm
• Demonstrate a proven progression in Tax complexity, scope and research
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets
• Ability to mentor staff and seniors, assist in the supervision of the tax department
• Ability to recognize, evaluate and communicate potential tax risks and planning opportunities
• Oversee all aspects of Individual, Partnership, Corporate, Trust and Estate issues
• Review returns and research complex tax matters
• Provide consulting and compliance work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
