    Sr. Demand Planner [Supply Chain]

    Our client is a growing mid to large size global CPG manufacturer located in the San Gabriel Valley. They are seeking an experienced and progressive Senior Demand Planner with opportunity for growth into Leadership role. 

    Summary:

    The Sr. Demand Planner will oversee and manage the overall operations of demand planning for their assigned brand. The Sr. Demand Planner will be actively involved in product development activities. The qualified candidate will coordinate and resolve issues regarding existing and new products. They will also be accountable for achieving prescribed company objectives in regard to cost, productivity, inventory turn and customer service (fill rate and on time delivery).

    The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality as they will be communicating regularly to vendors and acting as a liaison between suppliers and in-house teams.

    This position will report directly to the VP of Supply and Demand Planning within the Sales and Operations Planning Department.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain up-to-date and accurate forecast based on historical data analysis and by incorporating demands from promotional lift and special events
    • Plan weekly requirements and release purchase requisition. Take necessary corrective actions to bring inventory up to safety level
    • Monitor inventory level to achieve service level and inventory turn objectives • Work closely with the plant and vendors; serve as the liaison to the Category Team to ensure delivery of business requirements
    • Interface with Marketing, Sales, Distribution, QA, Customer Service, Finance, and Product Development as required to support Supply Chain and Corporate objectives
    • Coordinate introduction/change/deletion of SKU’s for the entire supply chain • Perform other assigned projects and functions as directed by management

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience to Formal education within Industry Engineering or Operations Management is a plus
    • 5+ years of related experience within the consumer goods industry preferred
    • Strong growth potential and leadership skills highly desired
    • Proficiency with Outlook; proficiency in Excel and Project is absolutely necessary • Avercast experience is a plus
    • Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills required
    • Organized and able to prioritize well
    • Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred but not required
