    Manager, SG&A Finance

    Our partner client, a large reputable global Bioscience | Pharmaceutical Company is seeking a Finance Manager to join their SG&A Finance Team. This position will be based in West LA, CA reporting to the Director of Commercial & G&A Finance and will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting and analysis [FP&A] of commercial and support teams. The Finance Manager must be able to define and execute analyses and meet deadlines for multiple priorities and projects drawing from finance and project management experience.

    • Monthly reporting and variance analysis
    • Developing, coordinating, and reporting budgets and forecasts for individual departments
    • Collaborating with members of the FP&A team to develop the planning calendar and coordinating with business partners to align strategic plan, budget, and forecast
    • Partnering with departmental leaders to determine and support financial analysis needs
    • Developing efficiencies and process improvements within the team’s work streams
    • Managing financial aspects of special projects by determining key drivers, driving the right set of analyses and presenting the conclusions
    • Liaising with business leaders across functions and representing finance in meetings and on projects
    • Assisting with ad-hoc analysis and duties as necessary

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business related field, Master's a plus
    • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis [FP&A]
    • Pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare experience is desirable
    • Demonstrated success working in a multi-task environment
    • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical abilities
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Willingness to work on detailed analysis and present to leadership as necessary
    • Demonstrated ability to frame and execute analyses and synthesize recommendations
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities. 
    • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase, and OBIEE
    • Strong competency in Financial Modeling, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
