Vertical Trail LLC is a rapidly growing, Chicago-based consultancy focused on delivering Modern Analytics, Big Data, and Cloud solutions. 

Vertical Trail is looking for a CYBER SECURITY CONSULTANT with a strong technical background in infrastructure security who can lead large-scale implementations of cyber security policies and procedures. This CYBER SECURITY CONSULTANT will be responsible for developing cyber security business strategies and processes to safeguard and protect internal infrastructure.

Candidates need to be able to work for Vertical Trail as a W2 employee. Vertical Trail is not considering third-party candidates for this role.

CYBER SECURITY CONSULTANT requirements:

·       5+ years of experience in cyber security management and consulting within a financial, health care, or government organization

·       Hands-on experience integrating security into the system development life cycle

·       Technical leadership and coaching experience overseeing and training large teams

·       Strong working knowledge of multiple cybersecurity frameworks (i.e., NIST Special Publication or ISO/IEC2700 family of standards)

·       Outstanding analytical, communication, and presentation skills

Our CYBER SECURITY CONSULTANT will be responsible for:

·       Managing overall cyber security risk and leading security assessments

·       Developing and implementing cyber security programs and architectures

·       Executing identity / access management and vulnerability management, and conducting vulnerability assessments

·       Using SIEM tools, incident management, BCP, and/or DRP
