Job Description
One of the leading cross border e-commerce companies ($2 Billion revenue) is seeking a 100% REMOTE Software Development Manager to manage a team of 12 people state side and off shore.As a Manager of Software Development, you will be responsible for creating a framework and structure to quickly grow your team and scale the software development processes to deliver complex projects quickly and with high quality. You will provide technical leadership, vision, direction, and mentoring for multiple software engineering teams within the companies Supply Chain Solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for resource planning, estimation, and delivery of projects and products
- Responsible for performance management of their team members (quarterly feedback)
performance, set expectations and goals for staff members
- Manage and execute software development projects from beginning to finish
- Establish and stimulate software development standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high quality software
- Must be able to mentor all levels
- Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
EXPERIENCE:
- Proficient with Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD)
- Strong .NET experience
- Knowledge of Mongo DB, Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of system architecture, best practices and design patterns
- Strong knowledge and experience in MicroServices, SOA and n-tier architectures
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment
- Expert in project management methodologies and frameworks such as Kanban, Scrum or Agile
- Writes and implements quality procedures
- Experience leading multiple teams, on-site/remote (10+ reports)
- Experience in building teams
**Requires a minimum of two years of management experience
**Requires a minimum of five to ten years of experience with software development, design patterns, software architecture
