Job Title: Marketing Coordinator / Street Team Member
Location: Various neighborhoods around Northern San Diego County.
Job Type: Full time
Schedule: Thursday through Monday, 10am-7pm weekdays, 8am-4pm weekends
Overview:
This is a unique hybrid role with Veruca where you will spend 12 hours a week working from home as a marketing coordinator and the rest of your time you will be working as a street team member in the neighborhoods of our new locations.
Marketing Coordinator:
As a Marketing Coordinator at Veruca, you will play a pivotal role in both direct marketing efforts and online marketing strategies. Your responsibilities will be diverse, encompassing door knocking initiatives to engage with potential customers directly and managing various aspects of digital marketing, including website maintenance, product listings, social media, and content creation.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update Veruca's websites to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
Upload and manage product listings, ensuring they are up-to-date and optimized for search engines.
Assist in executing social media strategies across various platforms, including content scheduling, monitoring, and engagement.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative and engaging content for online channels.
Provide assistance in organizing marketing events, promotions, and campaigns.
Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, generating reports as needed.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging marketing technologies to identify opportunities for improvement.
Street Team Member:
As a Street Team Member at Veruca, you will play a vital role in introducing our company to new neighborhoods during expansion phases. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with residents by knocking on doors, initiating conversations, and effectively communicating Veruca's business model. This position requires confidence, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of our company's offerings. You are not selling at the door or pressuring people to purchase anything, you are just explaining how Veruca's business model works and educating customers.
Responsibilities:
Conduct door-to-door outreach in new neighborhoods where Veruca is launching.
Engage residents in confident and informative conversations about Veruca's products and services.
Provide detailed explanations of Veruca's business model, addressing any questions or concerns raised by residents.
Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while representing Veruca.
Walk extended distances and be on your feet for prolonged periods during outreach activities.
Keep accurate records of interactions and feedback from residents.
Collaborate with team members to optimize outreach strategies and achieve set goals.
Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on Veruca's offerings and messaging.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
Prior experience in door knocking or direct sales preferred.
Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Confidence in initiating conversations with strangers and addressing inquiries effectively.
Physical stamina to walk extended distances and be on your feet for long periods.
Reliable and punctual with a flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend shifts.
Proven experience in marketing, sales, or customer-facing roles is an advantage.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including website CMS, social media management tools, and basic graphic design software.
Self-motivated with a proactive attitude towards achieving goals and targets.
