About the Role:
Goodwin Marine Services is looking for a talented and dependable Vessel Cook to join our crew in Hull, MA. This is a unique opportunity to bring your culinary skills aboard and play a vital role in keeping our crew well-fed, energized, and morale high out on the water.
Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and serve daily meals for vessel crew members
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized galley in compliance with maritime food safety standards
Monitor and manage food inventory, provisions, and supply requests
Accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and crew preferences
Coordinate meal timing around vessel operations and crew schedules
Assist with provisioning and restocking during port calls
Ensure proper storage and handling of perishable and non-perishable food items
Requirements:
Prior experience as a cook, ship's cook, or galley cook preferred
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work in a compact galley environment in varying sea conditions
Strong time management skills and the ability to serve meals on a consistent schedule
Valid TWIC card or the ability to obtain one is preferred
Comfortable with extended time at sea and rotating schedules
Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
