    Bay Beach Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia is seeking a full time or part time overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join our multi-doctor practice. We have a strong focus on maintaining exceptional client communication, patient care and medical protocol standards. We believe every patient and client deserves the best medicine and care we can offer. Bay Beach Veterinary Emergency Hospital also has a General Practice sister hospital (6 doctors, fully staffed) located just 20 minutes away, in the heart of Virginia Beach.

    Our area has almost anything you can imagine as far as activities, restaurants, breweries and events. Virginia Beach has excellent schools and specialized academies for students. There is also a wide range of outdoor activities and quick access to the mountains and ocean. An array of dog parks and outdoor activities like hiking are available along with much more to do and see.

    • 19 employee DVMs (6 GP and 13 ER DVMs between 2 hospitals)

    • Visiting specialists provide echocardiogram and advanced ultrasound services

    • 90% companion animal, 10% exotics (desire to see exotics cases not required, however exotics mentorship is available)

    Who we are looking for:

    • Full or part-time Emergency Veterinarian - variety of shifts available. Overnight shift rotations are a requirement.

    • Experience preferred but new graduates seeking mentorship are welcome and encouraged to apply; we have successfully mentored several new graduates

    • Emergency externs welcome

    • Overnight Emergency Relief opportunities available

    Qualifications:

    • Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA accredited university upon hire

    • Current DEA License or obtained upon hire

    • Active Veterinary State License upon hire
