Job Description

Seeking a US Veteran, National Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse to apply for a MANAGER OF LOAN PROCESSING position. Partner with management to ensure loan cycle processing times are within established service level agreements while maintaining customer satisfaction. Job requires 7+ years’ processing experience, supervisory or management experience, and knowledge of VA, FHA and conventional loan programs. RESPONSIBILITIES: VETERAN MILITARY

• Manage a staff of Loan Underwriters and work with management to recognize employee performance issues
• Balance loan-production levels between underwriting staff while ensuring the loans are assigned according to signing authority and underwriter ability levels
• Monitor production to ensure files are within required service level agreements
• Lead and motivate team members and train new employees
• Facilitate customer-centric behaviors and superior customer experience for internal and external customers
• Monitor and review QC findings for underwriting team. Identify trends and recommend solutions to management
• Communicate frequently with senior management; topics of communication include team performance and morale, pipeline status and turn times, opportunities for improvement, and future initiatives
• Identify and implement efficiencies and cost-saving measures
• Handle file escalations and rush requests from other departments including Sales and Processing. Determine what, if any, action to take on the requests
• Navigate and update information in Lending Operating System
• Keep apprised of changes in Investor, Regulatory and Bank guidelines; integrate changes into daily processes
• Verify accuracy and completeness of loan files
• Work with various departments to address, resolve, and improve file quality
• Perform second-level reviews of all Counter Offer scenarios, Approvals and Declines
• Assist with roll-out and train for new products, or policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS: VETERAN MILITARY

• US Veteran, National Guardsman, Reservist or Military Spouse
• Bachelor’s in a business related field preferred
• 7+ years Processing experience and well versed with program guidelines
• Solid knowledge of VA, FHA and conventional loan programs plus the entire real estate lending process
• Supervisory or management experience
• Excellent ability to express ideas and clearly convey reasoning of credit decisions and/or technical information in written, oral and electronic communication
• Knowledge in PC skills, Microsoft Windows and MS Office, plus Desktop Underwriter and Loan Prospector
• Experience troubleshooting problems with files
• Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy
• Ability to build efficient teams in a remote environment
