About the Role:

Benson Animal Hospital PA is looking for a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our caring team in Benson, NC! In this role, you'll play a vital part in providing exceptional medical care and compassionate support to our animal patients and their owners. Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries

Restrain and handle animals safely and humanely during treatments

Prepare exam rooms and ensure a clean, sanitized clinical environment

Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian

Collect and process laboratory samples including blood draws and urinalysis

Communicate with pet owners regarding care instructions and follow-up appointments

Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation

Requirements:

Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting preferred

Comfortable handling and restraining animals of all sizes and temperaments

Knowledge of basic veterinary medical terminology and procedures

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Compassionate, dependable, and a true team player

High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary assistant certification a plus
