Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian to join the team at our successful clinic. You will primarily diagnose and treat dogs and cats; rehabilitation services and exotic interests are welcome. Daily responsibilities will include performing routine wellness exams, diagnosing ill patients, surgeries, overseeing rehabilitation of post operative patients and providing end of life care. Responsibilities
Provide routine examinations
Diagnose illnesses and recommend treatment
Perform surgeries including dental, ophthalmic, and abdominal procedures in addition to routine spay an neuter
Administer and/or oversee vaccinations and treatments
Prescribe medication
Advise pet owners on preventative healthcare, nutrition, and overall pet well-being
Provide compassionate end of life care
Maintain and update patient records
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree with valid license to practice in Pennsylvania
Previous work experience as a veterinarian or graduate new to the field
Knowledge of medical equipment and anesthesia procedures
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical concepts in simple terms
