Job Summary At Heart and Soul Veterinary Center, our name isn’t just a label—it reflects how we practice, how we treat our patients, and how we show up for one another every day.
We are an independent and privately owned and operated veterinary clinic in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and we are excited to soon welcome a new veterinarian to our team! We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate doctor who is motivated to practice high-quality medicine, values connections and collaboration with our clients and staff members, and has a passion for true continuing education and professional/personal development and growth,
We like to joke that we’re a bit of a “dysfunctional family” - we spend the majority of our time together, we are in each others' personal lives and we continuously spend time with one another outside of the clinic, but the truth is we are a deeply supportive and tight-knit team. The “heart” of our practice is the genuine care we have for our patients, clients, and each other. The “soul” is the intention behind everything we do—from thoughtful communication during challenging cases, or to the way we support one another through busy days and unexpected life events - we believe in showing up, being there for our team and doing the right thing. Our culture and sense of community, is something we actively nurture and it is one of the main reasons our team loves being here.
Our clinic is currently open from 8am to 6pm, five days a week, with plans to expand to six as we continue to grow. Each of our veterinarians works a consistent schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, allowing for both continuity of care and meaningful time away from the clinic. We’ve designed our schedule intentionally to support both excellent medicine and a sustainable work-life balance.
We are proud to be a low-volume, high-quality practice. This means we see fewer patients per day so that we can spend more time with each individual pet and client. We believe this approach leads to better medicine, stronger client relationships, and a more fulfilling experience for our team. You’ll have the time you need to think critically, communicate thoroughly, and practice the kind of medicine you were trained to provide.
Medically, we hold ourselves to a high standard. We follow AAHA guidelines and are actively working toward Fear Free Certification, reflecting our dedication to progressive, low-stress, patient-centered care. At Heart and Soul Veterinary Center, this means taking the time to do things the right way—advocating for our patients, educating our clients, and creating an environment where both pets and people feel safe and supported.
We’re looking for a veterinarian who not only values strong clinical medicine, but also believes in the importance of empathy, teamwork, and building lasting relationships. Whether you’re an experienced veterinarian or a newer graduate, you’ll find mentorship, encouragement, and a team that genuinely wants to see you succeed.
If you’re searching for a place where your work has meaning, your voice is heard, and you can practice medicine with both heart and soul, we’d love to meet you.
