Job Description:

We are a PRIVATELY OWNED, 2 doctor practice in the Arlington neighborhood of Jacksonville. We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our skilled vetmed team.

The ideal candidate needs to have at least 1 year of experience working in a Veterinary Clinic as a Kennel tech or Veterinary Assistant. Will consider candidates with basic kennel or Veterinary Assistant experience only. Our candidate should be a team player, have a positive attitude, and have excellent animal restraint skills. We offer health benefits and paid Continuing Education with full-time employment.

Qualifications:

1-3 yrs Veterinary Assistant or Kennel experience

Highly organized and able to perform clerical duties

Practical knowledge of hospital setup and medical terminology

Physically able to assist in cleaning hospital and kennels

Familiar with most Heartworm/Flea preventions/Vaccines

Able to assist technicians and doctors with miscellaneous duties

Restrain animals using low stress techniques

Schedule:

Full-Time: M-F 7:30am-6pm, Saturdays 9am-2pm (Part time negotiable)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $16.00 to $20.00 /hour
