Job Summary

We are seeking a caring Veterinarian Technician to join the team at our successful veterinary clinic. Veterinary Assistant responsibilities include: answering phones, assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries, dentistries, and procedures, obtaining vitals, and monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the entire clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. Responsibilities

Obtain a patient history

Take vitals

Perform gentle animal restraint

Obtain samples/run in-house bloodwork and fecals

Prepare pets for surgeries and monitor animals after surgery

Administer medications and provide at-home dosage instructions for clients

Scheduling/Greet customers

Contact pet parents for followups

Take payments

Sanitize clinic/Laundry

Must be able to work Saturdays

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician

Must have an LVT/CVT or be enrolled in a program

Knowledge of animal care and handling

Excellent communication skills

Ability to multi-task and remain organized

Patience and a love for animals
