Job Description
The Veterinary Campus Recruiting Specialist – Student Programs plays a vital role in connecting the next generation of veterinarians and veterinary technicians with career pathways across our hospital network. This position is ideal for a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT) with a minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience, preferably with experience in emergency or specialty medicine, who is passionate about education, mentorship, and fostering community within the veterinary profession.
This role is a part of the Student Programs Team and partners closely with the Talent Acquisition team, and Regional Operations team to design and deliver high-impact campus engagement programs—particularly wetlabs and hands-on learning experiences—that empower veterinary students and promote connection with Alliance Animal Health.
The Specialist will travel frequently to veterinary schools to host events, lectures, and workshops, helping students explore the many career pathways within our network and supporting them in building confidence, skills, and professional networks.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in the design, coordination, and facilitation of veterinary student wetlabs, workshops, and hands-on learning experiences to strengthen engagement and clinical confidence.
Serve as a visible and trusted clinical ambassador for Alliance Animal Health at universities, student conferences, and career fairs across the U.S.
Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinary schools, faculty, and student organizations to promote externship and career opportunities.
Collaborate with the Student Programs Director to develop and implement strategic campus recruiting initiatives aimed at attracting diverse and passionate DVM students.
Conduct outreach and ongoing relationship management with students, nurturing their journey from externship through early career stages.
Partner with regional and hospital leaders to identify externship placement opportunities and ensure a strong match between student learning goals and hospital capabilities.
Coordinate and manage campus events, presentations, and sponsorship opportunities, including travel logistics and budgeting.
Support the maintenance of a robust Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and CRM, ensuring accurate candidate tracking and reporting.
Collaborate cross-functionally with the Talent Acquisition, Marketing, and Operations teams to elevate brand presence and student program visibility.
Travel up to 75% during the academic year (September–May); travel may decrease as the team expands.
