Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Proficient at Grooming
- Ability to lift dogs that weigh up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work in a professional manner
- Calming presence to pets
- Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work on a team
- Understands and applies hospital policies and procedures
- Keeps grooming are clean, orderly, and clutter-free
- Removes trash, sweeps, and mops daily
- Launders bedding and linens
- Stocks supplies as needed
- Attends staff and departmental meetings.
- Excellent animal-handling skills, including confidence and dexterity
- Ability to properly restrain patients
Preferred: three years or more of experience as a professional groomer
